The Power of Knowing Christ

“You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.” I do not receive glory from men; but I know you, that you do not have the love of God in yourselves.” ‭‭John‬ ‭5:41-42‬ Jesus warned about the danger of being religious in doing works but not knowing Him. Many people say to me I know the scripture but they cannot walk it out. Something's amiss if that is true. To know it is very important, but the fruit of that should come forth in everyday situations. Do you have a relationship with the Word? Is the power of God evident through a holy lifestyle? Walking in Word manifestation is the fruit of the love relationship of Christ within. Jesus said if you loved Him one wound obey Him. The love of God within is evident of the Spirit of God. This is the only way the Word has power in ones life. Otherwise one has only a religious spirit void of any supernatural power. Corinthians says "If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal". The love of God within will impact the world around you. It is a force of power that brings lasting fruit that remains. This is the good fruit that Jesus is looking to find from each one of His disciples who are called by His name. Not that of good works, but that of good fruit which is coupled with the works of Jesus. The question is, has the Word of God became flesh and does He dwell within you shining in the darkness around you?
