Tolerating Jezebel
“But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.” Revelation 2:20
To tolerate something means to allow one to do as they wish; to allow the existence, presence, practice, or act of without prohibition or hindrance; to permit. The Jezebel structure that operates within the religious church is witchcraft control, manipulation, seducing doctrines, sexual immorality, soul-ties and the usurping of righteous authority. When it is recognized it should be addressed or one could be in danger of being a victim of its rebellion, or become one of her eunuchs, or take on an Ahab spirit giving her more power. It has no gender of course being a spirit and can operate in men or women.
Jezebel was a powerful, wicked queen, and wife of a passive king called Ahab. She was a false prophetess and a witch. She was killed by several eunuchs at the order of commander Jehu. Her spirit of witchcraft is still in operation today in the church, and in the world. She is a principality that can manifest herself effectively through those who are gifted but wounded who operate prophetically.
Usurping authority is more than disobeying a man. A usurper is also one that seizes and holds (a position, office, power, etc.) of another by force or without legal right. We are never permitted to control another's will or their possessions as our own. Jezebel desires to control another's spirit through any means necessary. It can be through money, emotional manipulation, sexual immorality through soul ties or unholy alliances. it's all built on lies and seductive tactics. Jezebel promises one something she cannot give. All is for her personal agenda of self-promotion and power. Her agenda will never be about Jesus.
Jezebel that is tolerated will work through a false honor system within relationships. She works through mammon and influence. Anytime one tolerates evil it will sure come back to inflict pain and suffering. Many tolerate her behavior due to financial increase or need. This money gained will be tainted with mammon and greed. Jezebel has a lust for power, dominion and control. She is a master manipulator and very seductive. Her gifts are very impressive and can deceive even the elect. She will project her soul on you through soul ties in a relationship. It's a spirit of witchcraft mind control that will try to dominate through fear and intimidation or flattery and seduction. But the result is to gain control of one’s soul for personal gain, agendas and power. Jezebel will pull one into spiritual adultery or the very act of adultery. One will have increased ungodly sexual desires or lust in the imagination when she has influenced one by her witchcraft.
Mammon plays a big role in Jezebels attraction. One can shift their alliance from serving God in holiness and righteousness because of mammon. Jezebel works with mammon and leviathan the father of pride. The more authority the Lord Jesus gives one must be fully surrendered to Him. Tolerating Jezebel for the sake of peace is false peace. It cannot and will never please the real Jesus! Jezebel will twist communication because she is intertwined with leviathan and will have a strong religious spirit working alongside twisting the word of God against you. If you are her friend she will support you but if you are unable to be controlled she will try to destroy your life through slander and accusations. Jezebel will use half-truths to build her death structure against you.
As Jehu was cleansing the land of Jezebels wickedness the Word tells us in 2 Kings 9:25-26 that the dead king Of Israel was cast into Naboth's bloody vineyard, the land that Jezebel stole for Ahab. This was cursed land, which teaches us that any ground or personal favors from Jezebel will be cursed and never bring a blessing in any area of one’s life. Don't be deceived her flattery and seduction will poison one’s spirit.
Those who have open doors of unhealed soul wounds, trauma, insecurities and pride are a target for her influence. The prophetic gift coming through these will be tainted with divination. It can be a mixture of the Holy and profane. The corrected rebellious are also a target. Jesus says we will know a tree by its fruit. But it's unfortunate that Jezebel is tolerated because of her gifting and the evil fruit is overlooked due to her many influences and charisma. She is very charming and has a network of eunuchs she is grooming for her wicked kingdom.
A mature Jezebel spirit will usually carry a strong influence and have many alliances that feed its power and platform. All due to the soul-ties of these relationships and the law of supply and demand it brings to them. She will stay in power until someone recognizes by Holy Spirit revelation the sad trail of devastation of the victims it has devoured. Or until the Lord raises up a Jehu bold enough and empowered by God to throw her down!
When one has been influenced by this spirit you should always check your heart of any insecurities and unhealed places that you might have. Repentance for allowing her access to your soul is a must. One must break soul-ties with her and allow healing to come. Forgiveness is key to keep her curses from landing. Forgiving yourself too maybe difficult but you must. Don't be snared by woundedness, be reminded that Jesus is the healer and he is also able to deliver. He is also the revealer of all truth.
Jesus instructs us to pray for our enemies, for those who persecute you and say all manner of evil against you. Bless those to be saved, healed and delivered. Once you have survived and overcome Jezebel you will inherit a blessing. Understand that your battle with Jezebel has given you a sharper sword to deal with her witchcraft and harlotry within the church. It is all for the glory of God so allow the revelation to be revealed and the fire to burn in your heart for righteousness.
Revelation 2:26-27 and he that overcomes and keeps my works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations. And he shall rule them with a rod of iron, as a vessel of the potter shall they be broken to shivers and as I received from my Father. And I will give him the morning star. In the victory, one receives a new level of wisdom, authority, rule of influence and a deeper level of intimacy with Jesus. So, rejoice that you are always a victor because you serve the King of Victory!
